Day-to-day weather, with all its extremes, is "just weather", according to the IPCC. With their authority onside, we can shrug off the BBC's melodramatic climate reports and misinformation, says Mark Ellse.

ALF Ireland Takes on Circus Abuse

category national | environment | press release author Wednesday June 16, 2004 12:53author by Press Office - Association of Hunt Saboteurs Report this post to the editors

No fun at the Circus

ALF Ireland take action against Tom Duffy's Circus by removing circus posters.

ALF Ireland take action against Circus

Start:

Over thirty billboards and directional signs belonging to
Tom Duffy's Circus were last night removed and destroyed by
the Irish cell of the Animal Liberation Front.

Duffy's Circus currently in Dublin travels Ireland with
Tigers and Crocodiles among their menagerie.

These wild animals are confined to beast wagons, tanks or
chains for over 23 hours a day. Wild animals deserve to
live out their lives freely in natural surroundings instead
of being dragged around the Country by Circuses with no
human talent.

ALF Ireland will continue to destroy advertising signs at
this and other venues until all circuses refrain from
forcing and training animals to perform for entertainment.

Till all are free. For Animal Liberation.

ALF Ireland - Always a match for animal abuse!!!!

If a circus was to give up its exotic animals the majority of them would have to be put down, as suitable environments would be difficult to secure for animals such as Siberian tigers and Crocodiles.
What reasonable alternatives to destruction could ALF provide for animals liberated from circuses?

Im not criticising ALF, just wondering what they (or anyone else) would suggest to do with the freed animals.

Tom Duffy's Circus sounds cool! Tigers and Crocodiles performing amazing stunts, jumping through burning tires and things like that. I saw once the Great Circus of Moscow performing. It was awesome! I have never been so amazed. They had bears, lions, monkeys, elephants and all kinds of exotic animals, even big funny talking parrot. How cool is that! Didnt matter that it only knew russian, i was still laughing thou i didnt understand what it was saying. It was so awesome! Hope i can go again someday.

You are plagarising my unique style of wrianting. Bugger off, c*nt.

That aside, I agree with your points-circus rocks, and it needs a special licence to keep those animals, according to EU guidelines. So the ALF are just pushing their own agenda again.

How does one spell 'plagiarising ' again?

have liberated mice, rats and rabbits from a laboratory in Moscow at the Lomonossov university.
This followed a month long campaign of harrassment, faxes, and so on, which haw sparked indignation from the university chairs of neurology, physiology and the Lab supervisor Anna Smirnova, who maintains the "liberated" animals will die outside the lab, and that the Lomonossov university has adhered to international ethical guidelines on the keeping of lab animals, whose purpose included amongst other things, the investigation of suspicious neurological processes associated with the type of people who allow explosives to be strapped to them and then blow themselves up for God.

Thank you very much ALF. You really are doing your bit for World Peace.
if the sarcasm dripped anymore it would clog my keyboard.

Aw come on! you dont really believe do you, that vivisecting rabbits in moscow is going to shed any light on the motivations for terrorism.
For Christ's sake man!

Anyway , Animal experiments notwithstanding -A new front in the war against terror ; ) have any would-be circus animal liberators got any suggestions as to what they're going to do with their Crocodiles and Tigers.
Like certain other 'Liberated', they may turn out to be a little difficult to manage and 'pacify'!

that they weren't vivisecting the bunnies,
they were showing them Chekhov plays and then gassing them to study their instinctive escape plans.
it transpires the most errant of the bunnies were Cherry Orchard fans.

Royal Society fears costs of animal "terrorism" will eat into research budgets
| By Pat Hagan

The high cost of protecting animal research facilities against acts of "terrorism" from extremist protestors could have a knock-on effect on research budgets, a leading scientific body has warned.

The Royal Society, Britain's national academy of science, fears budgets could be squeezed and researchers deterred from a career in animal research because of fears for their own safety, if action is not taken.

the circus buys it's bills and posters in bulk at about 10cents a piece so alf managed to destroy €3 worth of circus property. WOW good job that will teach them to mess with you guys.
