"Pulsa denura is commonly considered the most severe of kabbalistic curses. According to descriptions found in books and the media, ten righteous kabbalists (Mkubalim) gather at midnight in a synagogue, by the light of black candles, blow shofars and recite the curse.

If the curse has been uttered by worthy and righteous men and against an appropriate target, the target is supposed to die within the year. If it has been uttered by unworthy persons or against a target who has not sinned, the curse is supposed to have a boomerang effect.

Defense Minister Shaul Mofaz, the late Jerusalem mayor Gershon Agron (ooooooo! the _late_ mayor) and the incumbent mayor, Uri Lupolianski.

It is doubtful if any Israeli public figure could be considered truly high-ranking without a pulsa denura being invoked against him at least once - in a synagogue or a graveyard or at least in a press leak ...

So this is what you need.

* 10 candles.
* some long serious beards. (traditional irish musicians might look ok, ask "the dubliners" along)
* an unpopular politician. (we have many)
* a sacred site.
* At midnight, you must gather in a circle and say the incantations.

"we being good and rightous types, ask that the elemental spirits of fire go scourge the progressive democrats (you may need more than ten candles to do the whole party) within a month."
(now it would help if you say it in gaielge with a sort of east european accent, ask a migrant (polish perhaps) to read the gaielge and it will sound really incantation like)

the Israeli public prosecutor has "sparked furious debate" this morning by saying that there was "no indication" that the 1995 assassination of prime minister Yitzhak Rabin had been sparked by incitement.

"No one wants to link the words of one person and the acts of another," the prosecutor Mr Mazuz has said in reply to increased calls for the *use* of incitement to hatred laws in the apartheid state,

Mazuz warned that excessive use of laws against incitement could curb free speech. "The atmosphere within the public has an influence, but it is not possible to use it as an excuse to shut people's mouths," Mazuz said.

According to Mazuz, prosecutors have refrained on principle from filing charges against people suspected of incitement. "We do not believe in enforcing the law [as a tool] to change the atmosphere of public life," he said.

But others disagree.

The Peace Now organization reacted with anger to the attorney general's comments, stating that "The attorney general is himself paving the way for the next political assassination in Israel,". In related news the same prosecutor has deported Sa'adia Hershkopf - a dual American and Israeli citizen and one of the three Kach activists put into administrative detention by Defense Minister Shaul Mofaz earlier this week - to the United States for 40 days.

Kach is an extreme rightwing ultra nationalist grouping which is prominent now, as one of its members was the 19 year old murderer of 4 israeli arabs on a bus last week. Kach is opposed to any peace settlement, or withdrawl from the occupied territories be it the Oslo accords or the "roadmap".
