Bush and Blair Soon To Be Made Answer For Their Crimes

category international | anti-war / imperialism | news report author Thursday January 26, 2006 14:57author by Khalid - Harakat al-Muqawamah al-Islamiyyah Report this post to the editors

A Lawsuit has been filed in the name of the Iraqi people against their oppressors.

Defence lawyers for Saddam Hussein Wednesday distributed copies of a lawsuit against President Bush and Prime Minister Tony Blair for destroying Iraq.

The suit accuses Bush and Blair of committing war crimes by using weapons of mass destruction and internationally-banned weapons including enriched uranium and phosphoric and cluster bombs against unarmed Iraqi civilians, notably in Baghdad, Fallujah, Ramadi, al-Kaem and Anbar.
The Amman-based legal team had said Sunday that the ousted president intended to start legal action against the two leaders of the Iraq war in the International Criminal Court in the Hague, but the text of the suit was made available Wednesday.
The suit also accuses the U.S. president and British prime minister of torturing Iraqi prisoners, destroying Iraq's cultural heritage with the aim of eliminating an ancient civilization, and inciting internal strife.
Bush and Blair were also accused of polluting Iraq's air, waters and environment.
The lawsuit demanded that Bush and Blair appear before court to answer the charges filed against them and requested the harshest punishment in line with Dutch legislation and the rules of international and humanitarian laws.
It also requested compensation for all material and moral damage inflicted on the Iraqi people.

I think this might have a bit more credibility if it didn't come from a man who killed hundreds of thousands of Iraqis. His claim to be concerned about the Iraqi people has even less credibility than Bush/Blair's. Leave the job of opposing the war and the occupation to people who actually care about democracy and justice, and let this mass murdering fascist stew in his own juice.

"Leave the job of opposing the war and the occupation to people who actually care about democracy and justice, and let this mass murdering fascist stew in his own juice."

All you do is oppose!
What good is that?
You do not resist.
Everyday martyrs are fighting back against the occupier in Iraq and Palestine and throughout the world.
What do our so-called friends and sympathisers do in the West?
They "oppose" by waving silly placards and tell us they of their "solidarity" and then go home to bed or back to work.
You do not resist. You do not fight. You do not die for your cause. You love life too much for that. You love yourselves. So you speak fine words but do nothing of practical value.

saddam killed thousands of his own people, gassed whole villages of the kurds, killed how many people in iran? kuwait? israel?drained the marshes of the marsh arabs, had his fascist bully boy police ruled the people thru the threats of violence-rape rooms-torture-or end up in the many mass graves. let him fold into a defeated mess of what comes around goes around. how could any decent human being defend his actions or call the work of his leftover loser party and henchmen to be fighting and resisting.......saddam was a nazi dog.

Yeah, and you "resist" by massacring Iraqi civilians (incidentally handing a vital propaganda weapon to Bush and Blair). How brave of you. I wish we had your courage.

And weren't fundamentalists meant to hate Saddam Hussein?

I know he had his country invade Iran and Kuwait, and I know he paid pensions to the widows of suicide bombers, but I didn't know that Saddam had had any involvement in killing anybody in Israel. Have I missed something?

Best,
Coilín.

"I know he paid pensions to the widows of suicide bombers"

Pensions?
A Saddam social welfare program may be how you viewed it.
25,000 USD for the family of any suicide murderer willing to kill Israelis is what it was.
So the answer is yes, you did miss something.

Perhaps the three remaining boys of this ogre are the most thankful that Saddam's pension scheme has been terminated
thanks to the brave heroes of the USMC.

Why is it that an israeli life is made out by the media to be more important than the life of a palestinian or arab.. Israel has commited genocide in the past and the oppressed has now become the oppressor. Thought they of all people would have known better but they are now the equivolent of an abused boy growing up to abuse little boys himself...

Its a fact, there have been far more palestinian deaths than israeli in the occupation yet whenever a few israelis die, the killers are called terrorists by the israeli and alot of western media but when there is a big heavy handed response by israel that kills alot more palestinians such as the rafa refugee camp massacare, its not called terrorism. Just dead women and children blown apart by israeli bombs, whatever name that is called these days..
Yes, they have committed genocide.. Ever hear of ariel sharon??

If Bush and Blair are to be tried for their crimes against humanity, what about our Irish Shoe-Shine boys, who have been complicit by allowing over half a million armed US troops to pass through Shannon airport since 2003? Irish government leaders must be brought to task and made accountable, not only at the next election, but at the International Criminal Court. They have helped to kill 100,000 innocent people unlawfully.
Saddam Hussein was also an evil mass murderer. However, you will notice that he is not being tried for the killing of tens of thousands of Shia Muslims in the South of Iraq and Kurds in Northern Iraq just after the end of the 1991 Gulf War, because he was encouraged and actively assisted by British and US forces, especially their air forces.
All war criminals must be made accountable for their crimes.
The Jews have suffered the most serious genocide in history in the Holocaust., However, that does not provide the state of Israel with justification for the crimes committed against the Palestinian refugees in Sabra and Chatila refugee camps in 1982, and the ongoing crimes, and land thefts against Palestinians on an almost daily basis.
