According to Labour, "all families deserve the security of a home they can afford to heat". If the party really believed that, says Ben Pile, it would drop its commitments to over-priced green energy and ramp up the gas.

Israel Continues to Shoot Itself in the Foot

category international | anti-war / imperialism | other press author Saturday December 16, 2023 20:25author by 1 of Indy Report this post to the editors

Larry Johnson on his blog reports on the hideous actions of the Israeli state and how they are undeniably behaving like real Nazis.

He writes: If you thought that Israel has a highly professional, well-trained army, think again. The photo above shows the Israelis acting like the Nazis in Latvia in World War II. These men are not Hamas fighters. They are civilians. The bare chested man is a physician. Why is Israel, like the Nazis, photographing their victims after stripping them of their clothes? Also note that in the photo above you do not see piles of weapons. These men were not caring firearms. Just compare the photos.

Truly sickening. This kind of dehumanization has no justification. This is a military out of control, with no sense of humanity and certainly no discipline. Just as the Nazis treated Jews as subhumans, the Israelis are doing the same thing to Palestinians. It is disgraceful.

This is not a case of Hamas using civilians as human shields. We are not seeing military aged males pulled from the rubble with weapons dangling from their dead hands. No. It is the bodies of women and children and teenagers being extracted from the debris. Israel is dropping iron bombs on homes, schools and hospitals with no regard for the civilians.

The following video is truly heartbreaking. This little girl’s murder is a war crime.

In war the targets are supposed to be soldiers and armed combatants. Shooting a guy wielding a rifle is fair game. You may object to your guy getting shot, but that is what happens in combat. What Israel is doing in Gaza is not combat. It is the systematic extermination of the civilian infrastructure. Blow up the hospitals, the schools, the markets, the sewage treatment plants and you render the area uninhabitable for civilians. The truth of the matter is this does not necessarily dislodge the Hamas fighters.
