The former Mayor of Sligo, Councillor Declan Bree will deliver the oration at this years Annual 1916 Commemoration ceremony which takes place at the Republican Plot in Sligo cemetery on Easter Sunday at 12 Noon The event which is being held under the auspices of the Connolly Forum is one of a number of activities that the forum is organising to mark the 90th anniversary of the 1916 Rising. |

It now been run by a blue shirt, whom goal in life is self enrichment
Is this the only commemeration in Sligo , l know the labour one was a disaster last year so l don't think they will be holding one this year . ! Then again l think one labour councillor will be licking their wounds after being arrested last week under a public order offence . Labour have been very quiet in relation to meetings , they havent attended the save our cancer campaign then again the don't attend the save our racecourse meetings either , what has happened to labour in sligo ?
