Should a Right-wing, reforming government gain power at the next election, it will face the full resistance of the Blob. The 2023 ousting of Dominic Raab is instructive in how this will run, says Dr David McGrogan.

Every year a new Carnival Queen is elected amongst thousands of participants. The election takes place in the city of Gualeguaychu where the biggest carnival celebrations in the southern cone take place. Evangelina Carrozzo was elected Queen in February.

"Being Queen of Carnival means a lot more than just a dancing beauty contest. Being Queen of Carnival in Gualeguaychu means that I represent the Uruguay river... I speak for our people and the nature around us. I am entirely qualified to demand to any Head of State that they protect our environment”, said Miss Carrozzo.

Greenpeace demands a clean production plan for the industry in the region that includes the total elimination of all chlorine compounds in the bleaching process as well as the relocation of these new pulp mills far away from any urban centre.

This one is almost as good as the "mafia handshake papal funeral". But not quite...

So Bertie got Chavez. - where's the baseball bat or sliothar?
Angela got Chile's super capitalist approved President Bachelat.
Chirac got plucky little Mister Morales.
Lula & Kirchner shared the Wolfgang Schlussel.
No one bothered including President Uribe of Colombia in the photo,
perhaps he was in the toilets cutting up the 47 lines?

& of course Greenpeace got the blame for sending in the carnival girley. very politically correct.

not [ I repeat] not as good as the "mafia handshake papal funeral moments - go on remind yourselves - the lovely moment the Israeli and Iranian presidents (born in the same town said "its cool - its show business - how's your business? - who's your man in the gold dress? oh he's the black pope? wow. do you read Dan Brown? yep love him. I notice Steven Hawkins isn't here...." http://indymedia.ie/article/69302 )
