category dublin | rights, freedoms and repression | event notice author Saturday December 02, 2006 17:21author by tom foley - Human Rights Watchauthor email freedomjig at hotmail dot comauthor phone 0876221218 Report this post to the editors

The Family of the Terence Wheelock who died from injuries he sustained in a City Garda station on the 2nd of june 05,
take to the streets with an information campaign informing the general public of the circumstance sorrounding the arrest, detention, and subsequent death from injuries terence wheelock sustained in Store st Garda station.
They intend to picket City Centre streets with posters and leaflets with information in the run up to christmas, eighteen months after the strange and suspicious death of there loved one.
There intension is to draw awarness to the death and to inform the public of revealing new evidence coming slowly before the coroners court which only add to there suspiciousions. (story 79852)

On the ninth of Dec next week, the family and supporters of the wheelock campaign intend to stage a demonstration in the centre of dublin (story 76148)
They maintain that there are to many inconsistencies in the gardai's version of events and the actual facts that are emerging in the recent revelations at the inquest in to his death
That there was blood on terence wheelocks clothes when he died, and that there are many photograps of bruises and extensive marks on his body.
This is contrary to gardai's version of events.
The have maintained that there was no bruising, marks,or blood, on Mr Wheelock when he was stripped searched in store st garda station.
How ever it has emerged that there are numerous photos in existence and the gardia's own forensic scientist has stated on public record in the coroners court,
that indeed there was blood on the deceased clothing, although he did admit he not test it to ascertain wheather it was indeed the deceased blood.
State patholigist Dr Marie Cassidy stated was not aware the photgraps were in existence.
This is contradicting six garda witness's who gave sworn evidence under oath, that they at no piont in time as individuals, see any marks, bruises or blood on mr wheelock when they stripped searched him on the 2/6/05. (story 77022).
The family of terence (20) are appealing to any witness's to come forward with any informatiion in to terence death, ant that it will be treated with the strictest of confidence.
The family and supporters will be meeting at the spire oconnel st dublin , at 12 noon on saturday the 9/12/06.

All Are Welcome.
