As Deirdre Clancy said after her trial: The jury is the conscience of the people. The Bristol jury has given a true verdict. Congratulations to two more exceptionally brave individuals and to their friends, families and legal teams. Memo to Michael McDowell: have you still time to abolish jury trials before you hand back the Merc?
