Mark Zuckerberg's repudiation of Covid-era censorship is welcome. But it's not enough, say Josh Stylman and Jeffrey Tucker. Without a public reckoning they will just do it all again when a cause seems urgent enough.

32CSM no to Lisbon Campaign

category national | racism & migration related issues | other press author Tuesday May 06, 2008 15:13author by The Sovereign Nation - 32 County Sovereignty Movement Report this post to the editors

The 32 County Sovereignty Movement are campaigning for a NO vote in theupcoming referendum on the Lisbon Treaty,

As Irish republican separatists the 32CSM deem it imperative that the issues of Irish National Sovereignty and Partition be at the forefront of republican objections to the proposed EU Constitution. Equally we deem it imperative that the broad Irish Republican and Socialist constituency should articulate our objections around an agreed set of points specifically dealing with the British occupation of our country. We do not see these objections as in any way inhibative on any other objections that the proposed EU Constitution may warrant. The 32CSM has initiated contact with other republican and socialist groupings inviting them to collaborate on an agreed approach in securing a 'NO' vote against the EU Constitution. We have drafted six points of objection as a discussion leader and have included them in our contact letters. These points are intended to provoke ideas amongst the republican socialist constituency with a view to securing a definitive final draft upon which an agreed 'NO' campaign can be launched.

Whether it is called the Lisbon Treaty, Reform Treaty or whatever terminology is invoked the political intent behind it remains the same. The Treaty needs to be debated politically as much as it needs attention to its technical details
