offsite link Why Do Europeans Support Populists? Fri Sep 06, 2024 14:00 | Noah Carl
What?s happened in Europe over the last ten years is simple. A sizeable number of voters wanted less immigration but none of the mainstream parties represented them. Populist parties came in to fill the gap.

Lawyers are set to be given a new professional duty to "advance equality, diversity and inclusion" by the Bar Standards Board. It's a breach of human rights and a recipe for tyranny, says barrister Sarah Phillimore.

The "surging seas are coming for us all", UN chief Antonio Guterres warned last week. The only solution is to send him lots of money. Give me a break, says Chris Morrison: there's no evidence sea levels are rising fast.

category dublin | animal rights | event notice author Sunday November 16, 2008 20:34author by Laura Broxson - CAFT Ireland / National Animal Rights Associationauthor email caftireland at gmail dot comauthor address PO Box 11019, Dublin 2 Report this post to the editors

Get active for animal rights! YOU can make a difference!

Hi,

We'll be having anti-fur and pro-vegan demonstrations on Saturday 22nd November.

Here's the plan for the day:

12.30pm - 1.30pm, Rohu Furs (2 Castle Market, Dublin 2)

1.30pm - 2.30pm, McDonald's (10-11 Grafton Street, Dublin 2)

2.30pm - 3.30pm, Barnardo Furs (108 Grafton Street, Dublin 2)

We sent Rouge (Clarendon Street) a fur information pack last week, including a fur free statement for them to sign, but if we don't hear back from them by Saturday, we'll be having a protest outside their shop before we finish for the day.

Hope you can make it!

"abit much". It seems that your complaints are unwarranted. The postings concerning the rights of nonhuman individuals are pretty infrequent on Indymedia Ireland, and the same goes for the comments page. I guess the truth is that NARA and other groups are so active since society remains deeply speciesist - there is still much to do, therefore. You can help reduce the number of posting by going vegan. I hope you will.

"A bit much" - thyere is no obligation on you to read any post on indymedia. This resource is not just about you or for you, and I would like to remind you that there are plenty of people who are interested in events such as this, and are happy to be kept informed.

If you aren't interested in attending events such as this one, there is no obligation to read the notice.
