Conservative MP Nick Timothy frets that Net Zero makes Britain vulnerable to sabotage by China and Russia. This misses the point, says Ben Pile. With self-harming policies like Net Zero we're our own worst enemy.

The Conservatives have told Keir Starmer that "it is not far-Right to stand up for the victims" of child sexual abuse and that "smearing people who raise those issues is exactly how this got covered up in the first place".

Justin Trudeau has resigned, having lost the confidence of his party. This is bad news for Starmer and another sign electorates are fed up with radical progressive zealotry dressed up as technocratic managerialism.

where's Richard Waghorne when you need him?

It was thought that George W Bush and his immediate family would being going into exile in Paraguay after January 20th 2009 - but Paraguay had the misfortune of recently electing a left of centre government.

The domains live on - but the old FI gang is long gone (or, are they?)

Bush plans to start library, Freedom Institute
Outgoing US President George W. Bush plans to open a presidential library in Texas and found a "Freedom Institute" to promote democracy, his wife Laura Bush confirmed to Peru's El Comercio daily.

"The president will build a library in Dallas -- where we will move to -- and a Freedom Institute," she said in an interview published Sunday, as her husband wrapped up his participation in a weekend summit in Lima by Asia-Pacific leaders.

"The institute will give us both the opportunity to work on issues that are very important to us," she said, according to the Spanish-language translation by the newspaper.

Laura Bush, a former teacher, said she wanted to return to the field of education, as well as "working for human rights for women in Afghanistan."
