There will be a special event at the Casino Marino this Bank Holiday Monday (5th August)

We will be recreating the Casino as it was in the 18th Century. Take the opportunity to meet Lord Charlemont, the owner of the Casino and one of the founding members of the Royal Irish Academy and Commander in Chief of the Irish Volunteers. Meet also Simon Vierpyl, the stone mason and Tom Browne, the fencing master. There will be a piper playing throughout the day.

There will also be various displays of duelling with pistols, fencing, archery and Pall Mall!

There will be free admission all day and the event will run from 12.30pm to 5pm. Free Guided tours of the Casino will take place all day - this is a truly remarkable building - a constant surprise.

The Casino is located just outside Dublin City Centre, off the Malahide Rd., after Griffith Avenue (turn left at the pedestrian lights after Nazareth House). A number of buses leaving from the city centre will take you to the Casino and it is within walking distance of Clontarf DART station.

If you have any queries then please contact me at 01 647 2461, 087 207 9120 or mailto:htmurphy@ealga.ie. Information is also available from the Casino Marino at 01 833 1618.

you are getting tedious my good fellow. i was pointing out that the comments of that cad wooster were obviously intended as a dig against the oppressed proletariat of the n'side. indeed the doubly (trebly in the case of lesbians) oppressed female n'side proletariat.

as for your yuppie inclinations; i'm sure the radical imc would not countenance such pretensions.

surely they would stand four-square behind the benighted proletariat rather than the swaggering petit-bourgeoise?

as for your problems with bouncers; well, there we find common ground. far too many of these chappies are off duty cops or soldiers with an attitude.

perhaps we could have a "reclaim the doors" (not the band) campaign modelled on RTS.

down with proto-fascist bouncers!
clubbers of the world unite!
you've nothing to lose but your brains!

Who says all northsiders are working class!

Thats a massive generalisation and I resent Pat C's labelling of me as a working class individual.

I worked hard to get the quality of life I have, putting myself through college, and getting a job in the computer industry.

This massive sweeping statement that all northsiders are "working class" is the kind of contemptable behaviour of some southside do gooder, who's decided he's speaking up for the little man.

I have enough trouble with bouncers, co-workers, and trying to find a flat, dealing with people who don't approve of my accent, to come here and find you talking about "working class".

Go away and quit seeing yourself as someone standing up for the "little man".

i don't have a thin skin; i was merely enquiring as to whether the imc editorial collective approved of anti working class & sexist comments.

as should be perfectly obvious in my previos comments on threads i don't support sectarianism or the campaigns of the cira or rira.

i think the killing of this worker was cold blooded murder. it can only be seen by the protestant community as a sectarian killing.

the territorial army never played any active military role in the north. indeed the base which was bombed is used to train medical personnel who go on UN missions.

I say Pat old bean you've got a awfully thin skin for someone who moans so much.

Why don't you go away or are you too busy cheering on the death of a construction worker that kind of behaviour is sure to bring on that socialist uptopia that you're dreaming of........

i was wondering if the imc editors approved of the remarks about easy north-side women?

are you happy to have such sexist and anti working class remarks posted?

exshully old chep, charly (as we used to call him)was progressive enough, believed in giving the franchise to the taigs. damned whig bounder.

you might also wish to read up on the role the irish volunteers played in gaining more independance for the "irish" house of commons. how they drew inspiration from the u.s. revolution and how their radical wing went on to play a part in the founding of the united irishmen.

You're quiet right is the the kind of Mindless Orish Orkery that we West Brits just detest. You Born Green Paddys just know how to have a good time. This is the exact kind of thing we detest and you republican ner do wellers just know it.

I mean meeting Lord Charlemont, why hob nobbing with royalty and rich landowners is just the kind of behaviour us West Brits detest. And you republican yobs just love.

WHAT HO. Off to the gentlemans club to drink brandy and have my way with one of your easy north side women.
