Brian Cowen and Brian Lenihan where out on the streets of Dublin today (Wednesday 1 April) reassuring citizens that the ‘economy was fixed’, before bringing them back down to earth with a big ‘financial fools day!’ message.The Taoiseach and Finance Minister dawned dunce hats, and handed out leaflets, showing that they haven’t a clue how to run a country, never mind sort out the current economic downturn. The street theatre was carried out by Ógra Shinn Féin on O’Connell Street, Dublin, with the republican youth movement using April Fools day to highlight the ‘incompetence’ of the Dublin government in dealing with the current economic crisis. |
