The 2nd referendum on the lisbon treaty will be held shortly because we voted wrong the first time and the political elite of Europe are not happy with us Irish. We have been given alot of money from the EU but official EU statistics indicate that, year on year off, Ireland has consistently been one of the biggest net financial contributors to Europe as a result of fish supply. In the coming months we will be bombarded with sound bites, post cards and news bulletins about the upcoming treaty. This peice challeneges the irish public to be critical about the vote be it a yes or no. In failing to do so we could be comitting ourselves to a europe we never wanted. Why for example would they push it a second time?
