Zack Polanski's claim that mass immigration is necessary because he "doesn't want to wipe someone's bum" is at least honest, says Joanna Gray. But the deeper problem is we now think care is the state's job.

DEMONSTRATION AT THE GREYHOUND AWARDS GALA IN LIMERICK.

Message to the IGB
This year we will be‘ringing’ in the GREYHOUND OF THE YEAR awards in limerick.

Limerick Strand Hotel , Ennis Road, Limerick City
at 12.30 on Sunday 7th March.

ringer'ing' in the greyhound awards
ringer'ing' in the greyhound awards

It’s the social event of the year for an industry that kills, drugs, injures and maims thousands of innocent dogs every year for sport. Greyhounds are gentle affectionate animals and should not be bred to die when too slow to make money for those who exploit them.
We have demonstrated this event for the last two years in Kildare, this year its in Limerick City.

• CONVICTED DRUG OFFENCE TRAINERS STILL TRAINING AND RUNNING GREYHOUNDS.
Many UK and Irish trainers prosecuted in the UK for administering drugs to raced dogs are still operating in Ireland. In fact its business as usual with some of these people being honoured guests at dog tracks for special nights. Some of these trainers are in fact banned in the UK and can operate here with the approval of Bord na gCon. Some of these convicted trainer’s dogs will be in the running for prizes at the upcoming Greyhound Awards next week. Also the ‘ringer’ dog incident will hopefully be fully investigated by Gardai.

WHY WE WANT THE GREYHOUND INDUSTRY INCLUDED IN THE FORTHCOMING DOG BREEDING ESTABLISHMENTS BILL. See www.afarireland.org DOG BREEDING BILL.
