On Saturday the 20th March two young women will share their views and experiences as activists in Israel and the Occupied Palestinian Territories.

Deema Darawshy is a young Palestinian from within the 48 borders. She has been involved with many different organisations including human rights group B'Tselem, Ta Adam (Students for Human Rights), Palestinian Human Rights Monitoring Group and is now working for HaMoked - Centre for the Defence of the Individual.

Sahar Vardi is a young Israeli from Jerusalem. She has been a human rights activist since a young age and last year spent 2 months in prison for refusing to serve in the Israeli army. She is involved in organisations such as Israeli Committee Against House Demolitions (ICAHD), Ta'Ayush, New Profile and recently was one of the instrumental figures behind the increasing demonstrations in Sheikh Jarrah, Jerusalem.

The meeting starts at 1pm on Saturday 20th March in the Belfast Unemployed Resource Centre, Donegall Street, (beside the John Hewitt).
