Convicted Rapist (Suspect Killer)Larry Murphy Free In Spain

category international | crime and justice | opinion/analysis author Wednesday September 22, 2010 21:48author by Clodagh Report this post to the editors

Larry Murpy was arrested by the gardai, after he kidnapped a woman and raped her,and was very close to killing her..Only for two deer hunters, actually came across her in a distressed state, muddied, bloodied, and with no clothing, she was brought into her local garda station by these two men,who then later tried to catch larry murphy with the gards in tow.

He was also suspected of killing a number of other women, and was even one of the top names on ireland's cold case list..
It is evident the irish justice system has let us down, when a man of such evil can not only walk the streets of ireland, but of spain.
As there is no RESTRICTION on suspected serial killers,(who are freed by the irish judicial system) travelling throughout Europe..
He was released 5 years early on good behavior, good behavior should be relevant to the crime committed..and in a cell with other predominantly male prison guards, surrounding the cells, how can this be proven.

In january research from the dublin rape crisis centre, yet again publish more disturbing facts, that less than 1 in 50 rapes, are punished. When the punishments are so weak and so few brought to court, how can crime be discouraged, with such statistics. There are currently no laws to restrict those who are criminals, travelling throughout europe,or even entering ireland..

''THE arrival of suspected serial killer Larry Murphy in Spain has sparked a wave of panic throughout the country.

'Women are being warned that "the face of evil" has moved there and plans to set up home in the south.'

'According to reports, serial rapist Murphy fled Ireland last Tuesday to relocate to the Mediterranean in an attempt to escape the media glare.'

'Now Spanish police officers are planning to keep the violent rapist under surveillance.'
'

'The arrival of Ireland's most high-profile sex offender in the Costa del Sol has sparked anxiety and panic among locals.'

"I can't believe it, he should not have been released in the first place," said one concerned local.

"Look carefully at this face. Especially if you live in Malaga or in the province.''

"This is the face of evil," warned one woman, who put up Murphy's photo on her website.

''La Guardia Civil is now responsible for monitoring Murphy, who was released from prison last month after serving 10 years of a 15-year sentence for the attempted murder and rape of a young businesswoman in 2000. Murphy is also the prime suspect in the disappearances of three other women in Leinster in the 1990s.''

''Gardai have reportedly informed them that Murphy is a "high-risk" offender and have handed over photos and information on him to Spanish police.'

This Larry Murphy story must be kept to the fore of Irish news as a matter of public interest .

Did he serve his time ? he served 10.5 years if that what one would call time ;

HSE tried to cover up the problem by '' allocating '' Larry Murphy an apartment opposite The

Coombe ( womens ) Hospital no later than 4 weeks ago . The apt is a' new build ' & is

situated in Dublin 8 , he strolled around Rathmines / Grafton St prior to his allocation but

i am delighted to report Larry Murphy '' chose not to reside '' in the said apt , '' choosing ''

instead to flee to grangegorman and then Viva Lespana ,

Gardaí inform the new host country of Murphy's "high risk" as repeat offender. And here we thought he was a reformed, model Offender??? Folks, he has said already how he would make sure things were differently The Next Time...

Larry Murphy was given luxuries in prison, that a homeless person would not recieve in a hostel, while the working class are paying off their bills, the likes of larry murphy can just settle anywhere in europe,of his choosing.Even suspect serial killers can be a career criminal..

The government are responsible for the lack of facilities and funding in the gardai siochana, and this suited them in the early eighties, when corruption was at its height..As long as you have a state administered police force, there is no independent functioning of a police force from government.

The justice system has let us all down time and time again. When jo jo dullard was first reported missing, there was no panic by the gards to get their job done,in fact a taxi driver rang with news of a young girl being harrassed physically by two guys near a shed in a field and they were ''roughing her up'',he stated, the phone was put down, and the lead not followed up,this was later leaked to the media,in the 90's,a garda also leaked news that jo jo dullard had an abortion previously,(it was splashed all over the main irish sunday newspapers),to going missing, and all sorts of incinuations were being made, such as she might have taken her own life,etc..
There were a lot of killings in ireland and a lot that went unreported, and a lot of them are still buried in the backyards of their homes..The irish justice system does not work now,and it certainly didnt in the early 60's and 70's..

there is enough irish crims in spain to tackle murphy wih more force than our glorious justice system, i give him a month before he up sticks again or worse, it will always follow him what he has done and is very capable of doing again, who is the prey now or the hunter?

The reasoning behind Larry Murphy's thinking is quite simple , he is aware of the allegations against him , he is playing on
the very fact how much he knows or doe's not know about said allegations , so therefore he will lie low until the burdon of
proof is stacked against / in his favour, and will continue to mind what he says and who he says it to .
