offsite link Deliberate Design Flaw In ChatGPT-5 Sun Aug 17, 2025 08:04 | Mind Agent
Socratic Dialog Between ChatGPT-5 and Mind Agent Reveals Fatal and Deliberate 'Design by Construction' Flaw
This design flaw in ChatGPT-5's default epistemic mode subverts what the much touted ChatGPT-5 can do... so long as the flaw is not tickled, any usage should be fine---The epistemological question is: how would anyone in the public, includes you reading this (since no one is all knowing), in an unfamiliar domain know whether or not the flaw has been tickled when seeking information or understanding of a domain without prior knowledge of that domain???!

This analysis is a pretty unique and significant contribution to the space of empirical evaluation of LLMs that exist in AI public world... at least thus far, as far as I am aware! For what it's worth--as if anyone in the ChatGPT universe cares as they pile up on using the "PhD level scholar in your pocket".

According to GPT-5, and according to my tests, this flaw exists in all LLMs... What is revealing is the deduction GPT-5 made: Why ?design choice? starts looking like ?deliberate flaw?.

People are paying $200 a month to not just ChatGPT, but all major LLMs have similar Pro pricing! I bet they, like the normal user of free ChatGPT, stay in LLM's default mode where the flaw manifests itself. As it did in this evaluation.

Evaluating Semantic Reasoning Capability of AI Chatbot on Ontologically Deep Abstract (bias neutral) Thought
I have been evaluating AI Chatbot agents for their epistemic limits over the past two months, and have tested all major AI Agents, ChatGPT, Grok, Claude, Perplexity, and DeepSeek, for their epistemic limits and their negative impact as information gate-keepers.... Today I decided to test for how AI could be the boon for humanity in other positive areas, such as in completely abstract realms, such as metaphysical thought. Meaning, I wanted to test the LLMs for Positives beyond what most researchers benchmark these for, or have expressed in the approx. 2500 Turing tests in Humanity?s Last Exam.. And I chose as my first candidate, Google DeepMind's Gemini as I had not evaluated it before on anything.

offsite link Israeli Human Rights Group B'Tselem finally Admits It is Genocide releasing Our Genocide report Fri Aug 01, 2025 23:54 | 1 of indy
We have all known it for over 2 years that it is a genocide in Gaza
Israeli human rights group B'Tselem has finally admitted what everyone else outside Israel has known for two years is that the Israeli state is carrying out a genocide in Gaza

Western governments like the USA are complicit in it as they have been supplying the huge bombs and missiles used by Israel and dropped on innocent civilians in Gaza. One phone call from the USA regime could have ended it at any point. However many other countries are complicity with their tacit approval and neighboring Arab countries have been pretty spinless too in their support

With the release of this report titled: Our Genocide -there is a good chance this will make it okay for more people within Israel itself to speak out and do something about it despite the fact that many there are actually in support of the Gaza

This story is unverified but it is very instructive of what will happen when cash is removed
THIS STORY IS UNVERIFIED BUT PLEASE WATCH THE VIDEO OR READ THE TRANSCRIPT AS IT GIVES AN VERY GOOD IDEA OF WHAT A CASHLESS SOCIETY WILL LOOK LIKE. And it ain't pretty

A single video report has come out of China claiming China's biggest cities are now cashless, not by choice, but by force. The report goes on to claim ATMs have gone dark, vaults are being emptied. And overnight (July 20 into 21), the digital yuan is the only currency allowed.

Shell drilling work at Aughoose stopped again

category mayo | environment | news report author Thursday May 26, 2011 11:58author by C - Rossport Solidarity Campauthor email rossportsolidaritycamp at gmail dot comauthor address Aughooseauthor phone 0851141170 Report this post to the editors

On Tuesday afternoon (24th May), Shell work at the Aughoose compound was successfully stopped from 2pm for the rest of the day.
aughoose_indy1.jpg

At 2pm a group from Rossport Solidarity Camp entered the Shell compound at Aughoose before the Shell workers who were carrying out boreholes on the land had returned from their lunch break.
Upon reaching the area where the borehole drilling was being carried out, the group were met with considerable violence from the IRMS security at the compound. When some of the group attempted to climb the fences, they were violently pulled down from the fences by security, with on at least 3 occasions protesters being grabbed around the neck and either choked or pulled down by the neck. On another occasion, one IRMS security guard, Paul Arkins (reportedly ex-RUC) punched one female protester straight in the face. However, despite the IRMS violence, 2 protesters managed to scale the fencing surrounding the drilling rig and climb the drilling rig. Two further protesters climbed onto the tractor which was just outside the compound.

Gardaí arrived down to the compound after about an hour but the protesters stayed on the tractor and drilling rig until after all the workers had gone home for the day. No attempt was made to remove the protesters from the equipment they occupied. After 6pm, the 4 protesters came down from there positions and were arrested and brought to Belmullet Garda station. The law that was used to arrest the protesters was anti-traveller laws that were brought in in 2002
(http://www.irishstatutebook.ie/2002/en/act/pub/0009/sec....html). All 4 were released afterward without charge .

Meanwhile, the storm force winds that hit the camp on Monday morning (gusts of 144kph were recorded in nearby Belmullet), have cause a fair amount of damage on camp, with 2 marquees getting blown down. We will need help to prepare for the Party against the Pipe festival weekend which will be held on the June Bank holiday weekend. See http://partyagainstthepipe.wordpress.com/ for more details. If you have time to spare, then help would be really useful in advance of the festival weekend.

Officer 'struck man with baton'

A police officer struck a man with a baton as he lay on the ground, a court has heard.

A Crown lawyer alleged Constable Paul Arkins used "excessive force" during the arrest of a man.

But the officer said the alleged victim, who had previous convictions for violence and armed robbery, posed a threat.

Mr Arkins, 39, whose address was given as Newtownabbey PSNI Station, denies inflicting actual bodily harm.

The court heard the victim started arguing with the officer, but it was while he was standing, "offering no threat", that he was grabbed from behind and put to the ground.

He made a complaint to the Police Ombudsman. When interviewed, Mr Arkins said he believed the man was going to lunge at him during the incident in August 2005.

However, a Crown lawyer said it was the prosecution case that the victim "presented no threat to the police officers at the time he was struck with the baton".

The case continues.

Just adding this comment as someone who was involved in this action. During the initial stage of the action, while we were trying to get to the fences, I was pulled to the ground and pressed between two IRMS security guards and the fencing, while a third, Paul Arkin, wearing thick gloves, grabbed my head and tried to force his finger into my right eye. Hadn't realised he was the same security guard to have punched another protestor.

This sort of ráiméis, where the likes of you cpmes on here castigating the site and using words like 'fairness' and 'integrity' in the case of
a snake like Arkins has been tried here regularly. It's classic Troll tactics. Cut to the chase and admit you're an apologist for a violent arsehole who couldn't hack it in a proper uniform so he's turned up here secure in the knowledge that he can knock a few women and old men around with impunity. It's the Garda way. and he's found a natural home.
