Kevin Tracey has legitimately complained for years about the atrocious abuse he has been so wrongly subjected to by the gardai only since he obtained a full legal planning permission to build a new house next door to a Judge, which was taken away from him through the courts. He has ample evidence that this same Judge instigated malicious charges against him through his friends in the gardai, principally at Ballyfermot. In fact Kevin has proved in the District Court that these 31 charges were maliciously concocted by the gardai, dpp and the courts service. read full story / add a comment

We Need To Be the Change that we want, we can complain all day long but that will achieve nothing, we need to take direct action against these bullies, these criminals, if we are too scared to do it for ourselves then we should do it for our children, any parent worth their salt would do whatever it takes to protect their child and that is exactly how we need to see this situation, what are we doing to protect our kids from what is being taken from them now and what will be increasingly taken from them as they grow up? read full story / add a comment

national / crime and justice / news report Wednesday January 11, 2012 14:09 by RNU PRO   image 1 image
RNU have expressed dismay and concern at the sick antics of the Maghaberry administration who have again used the plight of seriously ill POW Tony Taylor to confuse and cause maximum distress to his wife and family. Yesterday afternoon, Tony (who suffers from injuries he sustained in an explosion in the early 90s), was taken from Maghaberry Gaol to an outside hospital after a severe infection caused his right arm to swell at an alarming rate. Tony who is on full dirty protest in Roe House, lost his spleen in the explosion and had his body peppered with shrapnel which is still present, this makes him vulnerable to infection as his immune system is particularly compromised. Infections if left untreated can lead to blood poisoning and in Tony’s case can prove fatal. read full story / add a comment

Kevin Tracey is recuperating from an illness and while he is ill four national newspapers have taken a motion to have his libel case against them struck out. The reasons given by them which are all too common is striking out bona fide cases are that his case is unsustainable, bound to fail and/or frivolous or vexatious. There is no ground taken by them that Kevin Tracey’s case be struck out for “want of prosecution”, due to inactivity on the case due to his illness. This was the previous ground used for striking out six other cases taken by Kevin Tracey for damages against the State where it had been proven that Kevin Tracey had been wrongfully and maliciously prosecuted. see www.indymedia.ie/article/99369 read full story / add a comment

PSNI GESTAPO
international / crime and justice / news report Friday November 18, 2011 01:45 by BrianClarkeNUJ   image 1 image
Most people from Belfast are aware that the young wife (36) of a well known Belfast Irish republican died this week in tragic circumstances by accident. The night of her death the PSNI known locally as the British Gestapo pulled up outside the home of her husband. The PSNI began to blast the horn of their car and when he and his extended family looked out their window, the British gestapo PSNI officers began to simulate hanging actions, with there tongues hanging out and sneering at them. The angry family had to restrain the husband from going out to them. read full story / add a comment

Open Letter to AnTaoiseach Enda Kenny T.D., Alan Shatter T.D. And all concerned parties in the Raphoe Report: After many delays of the Raphoe report, which is being investigated by The National Board for Safeguarding Children in the Catholic Church (NBSCCC), we are requesting that the abuse survivors do not have to wait any longer for their findings. This report when it is finally completed will be forwarded to the Bishop of Raphoe who will decide when to make it public. read full story / add a comment

What baffles me about the current controversies over undercover policing in Britain is that what would be considered a serious breach of policing ethics over there would be considered mild in terms of British policing over here. Two stories came together this week to illustrate the point: allegations that an undercover cop in Reclaim the Streets organisations lied in court to protect his identity coincided with far more serious allegations regarding collusion on Monday's BBC Spotlight. All the while, politicians who ignore what the RUC did in the North are still asking Gerry Adams to condemn (again) the killing of Garda Gerry McCabe; they seem to think there were only a handful of victims in the conflict and they were all killed by the IRA. read full story / add a comment

In a report from the WSWS site, they describe how the broadcasting media have been forced by the UK govt. to hand over 100s of hours of unbroadcast footage of the riots to the police.

This is yet another serious erosion of checks and balances in the system and reflects both the paranoia and vindictivness of the system.

Whilst the mainstream media are generally to be trusted anyhow especially when it comes to social justice and matters relating to maintaining the system, they rightly see that this is a threat to themselves. read full story / add a comment

international / crime and justice / press release Monday September 19, 2011 15:58 by Support Network, Buenos Aires
We never forget our imprisoned comrades. We don’t mystify our respect for them but neither are we indifferent to their everyday experience. Solidarity is not, as has been demonstrated on several occasions, just a beautiful word or a slogan, but a practice inseparable from our struggle. This can be expressed in many diverse ways, and there are moments when an idea takes shape with forcefulness and continuity. Given the delicate situation (in court and in prison) that faces our comrades Juan Aliste Vega, Marcelo Villarroel Sepúlveda, and Freddy Fuentevilla Saa, who are currently held captive in prisons of the Chilean state, several individuals from Buenos Aires have decided to form a new support network in order to provide updates and disseminate information about their situation, as well as hopefully assisting in their return to the streets. read full story / add a comment
