This story is from RT.com but is very relevant to people in all the lockdown countries as it is reported suicide rates are up at least 20% if not more. The media completely ignore the fact that the lockdown is killing far more people than the disease due to the total disruption to normal life. This story covers just one but important aspect of that, mental health.
Suicide remains the biggest killer of men under 45 in the UK. The ‘house arrest’ we’re all under is leaving vulnerable, mentally unwell people alone with their demons.
I start every day with a small cocktail of moderately powerful medication. Quetiapine and amitriptyline washed down with a black coffee. There’s little doubt about breakfast being the most important meal of the day for me, as it literally keeps me sane. read full story / add a comment

If it has not been clear to now that big Pharma is favoured by government, it should be now. This report illustrates the extent to which the US government is going to force vaccines on the population. As part of this deal the pharma companies will NOT be liable for any damages. President Trump announced today (May 14, 2020) that he is mobilizing the military to distribute over 300 million doses of a coronavirus vaccine by the end of the year. Since the current population of the United States is around 330 million people, it would appear that the goal is to inject pretty much the entire population with this vaccine. read full story / add a comment

In an appeal to the European Union, more than 180 scientists and doctors from 36 countries warn about the danger of 5G, which will lead to a massive increase in involuntary exposure to electromagnetic radiation. The Covid-19 global health crisis is one that required a global response led by health workers but with the consensus of almost everyone. Instead we face a piecemeal response, often in the form of repressive policing solutions that are not even particularly effective and where the borders between the states have undermined collective action and allowed the virus to multiply in the gaps. Fear has led many to wish for harder state clampdowns as if a policing apparatus had any hope for substituting for collective solidarity between neighbours. The very ideology of neoliberal capitalism and its mantra of everyone looking after themselves has cut into the sort of community solidarity essential to popular enforcement of physical distancing. Thankfully in Ireland we discovered this process was not complete and a sufficient sense of solidarity remained that almost everyone implemented physical distancing measures before the state backed that process. read full story / add a comment

This story by Pepe Escobar which appeared on The Saker blog is being reported here because it clearly demonstrates in this particular instance, in France how the government is suppressing cures for Covid-19 available today so as to delay matters so that Big Pharma can come in with their own solutions in a few weeks time. It makes no sense that governments around the world appear so concerned about their populations as they rarely are, so it kind of make sense that they are doing things to promote the profits of Big Pharma over the welfare of citizens. There is little doubt the same or similar things is occurring in other countries. The French government is arguably helping Big Pharma profit from the Covid-19 pandemic What’s going on in the fifth largest economy in the world arguably points to a major collusion scandal in which the French government is helping Big Pharma to profit from the expansion of Covid-19. Informed French citizens are absolutely furious about it. My initial question to a serious, unimpeachable Paris source, jurist Valerie Bugault, was about the liaisons dangereuses between Macronism and Big Pharma and especially about the mysterious “disappearance” – more likely outright theft – of all the stocks of chloroquine in possession of the French government. read full story / add a comment

Stephen Duffy PP, Lordship and Ravensdale, has kindly given permission to use the meeting room in our Lady of The Wayside Church, Jenkinstown, Co. Louth, for our meeting. We will meet there. The recent on-line consultation was around the question of digitalisation and the sustainable development goals of the UN 4. Equality 5. Finances 6. Fix dates and venues for meetings for the next year 7. Strategy Due to unavoidable circumstances the meeting scheduled for mid-June was let slide but, hopefully, this will not happen again. These shocking figures emerged from a voluntary disclosure made by the Irish Pharmaceutical Healthcare Association, the industry body that represents the drug companies. On Thursday evening 2nd June 2016 I attended a meeting in St. Augustine’s school in Blackrock where parents expressed outrage at the withdrawal of the Saint John of God Community Services Supports on a phased basis commencing in September 2016. The school was described as a “centre of excellence” for its vocational programme which has had a very positive impact on the lives of many children with special needs in South Dublin, Wicklow and surrounding areas. read full story / add a comment

Recently a major and moral decision was made to quell California legislature as to whether people suffering with terminal illness should have the right to die with dignity. Democrats did not have enough votes although the legislation might come back later in the year? To the extent that there was much of a debate in the news it has been one-sided with a chorus of status quo preventivists.
