Riots could sweep the streets of Britain if immigration is not curbed, Rachel Reeves said in 2016. Yet the now-Chancellor's prescient warning was nowhere to be found in Labour's response to the current disorder.

Until this week, Keir Starmer told us the criminal justice system is at capacity, says Laurie Wastell. Turns out, we can clamp down on crime and disorder just as long as the target is the reviled white working class.

Five years on since the terrorist attacks of 9/11, the wars that precipitated from that act are now discussed in frustratingly candid terms. While the thousands of American deaths are fittingly remembered as avoidable tragedies, the military responses, claiming the lives of many more innocent people, are described as 'mistakes' and 'necessities'. read full story / add a comment

From a fringe that once made a name for itself distributing truth dollars to more succesfully pushing viral videos on the youtubed and googled vidiot ciruit, 9-11 conspiracy theories have taken on a fast and furious popular growth in recent months. The successive releases of Loose Change, Terror Storm and a host of less competent productions has seen the 9-11 truth types quickly come to accumulate a louder and louder voice within the international anti-war community. read full story / add a comment

As I write this article I know from the outset that UCC and their legal attack dogs – possibly McCann Fitzgerald, who have carved out a lucrative career from pursuing UCC’s legal hounding of employees and staff - will almost certainly be coming after me. I should declare an interest immediately. A close member of my family attempted a so far unsuccessful challenge to UCC as a consequence of a refusal to cooperate with what he believes were inappropriate and possibly corrupt practices within the Department of Applied Social Studies at UCC. That issue is not the subject of this article.

Today, The UK Independent newspaper reveals that "Britain's official food safety watchdog has privately told supermarkets that it will not stop them selling an illegal GM rice to the public". Documents seen by the newspaper show that the Food Standards Agency assured major manufacturers and retailers 10 days ago that it would not make them withdraw the rice - at the same time as it was telling the public it should not be allowed to go on sale.
