America & Israel: Too Close For Comfort

With the fact that there are US military personal in various Muslim countries and the fact that every criminal action by Israel......

Barack Obama in Jerusalem

With the fact that US military personal are in an increasing number of Muslim countries, and the fact that every criminal action carried by America's greatest ally, Israel, goes unpunished (such as the attacks against the people of Gaza, not to mention the recent killing of the Turkish activists trying to deliver aid to Gaza), one has to ask, do the people of Palestine have any chance of a peaceful life?
Another question has to be asked. After Israel had been caught red handed in the 'Lavon Affair' and the attack of the 'USS Liberty' why does the US always take Israels side?

Well maybe some of the images posted on this page might go some way to explain this.

The combination of the imagery and the sentiments expressed in this article make it offensive and antisemitic.

no. bombing and killing the children of semites in gaza is "anti semitic"
this is just valid criticism of blatant US support (for selfish political reasons) for the racist policies of Israel towards palestinians.

Dear Avi

The old 'Anti - Semitic' retort does not work any. People are not frightened by it, and are not afraid
to challenge the wrong doings of Israel.

Calling somebody Anti - Semitic for criticising Israel is as stupid as calling someone Anti - Catholic
for criticising Ireland.

Go and try your ADL, AIPAC treat tactics on someone else, because they don't work with me, or the rest of the people of Ireland for that matter.

Truth is rising and Israel is being exposed for what it is, an Ethnic Cleansing, Genocidal, Apartheid state, and the old habit of the world turning a blind eye to Israels crimes is coming to an end.

If you what to discuss something being 'Anti' explain why the Talmud is full of revenge and hate, and why it sees Gentiles (Non- Jews) as little more than cattle.

I await your response.

"or the rest of the people of Ireland for that matter"

here's one Irishman you dont speak for.

All those pictures are of christians. When in Jerusalem its respectful to wear appropriate attire at ALL religious sites including the Western Wall, thousands of christians visit the Western Wall daily.

Trying to make out that those presidents are doing something out of the norm is a pathetic anti-american/anti-jewish jibe.

When US visitors come here do they not have the auld pint and kiss the Blarney Stone.

The Pope visits Jerusalem and wears the skule cap out of respect as a fellow religious leader, he does not lobby the US Government 24 / 7 unlike the ADL and AIPAC, or use White Phosphorus on civilians in Gaza. (See Photos)

Be the way - What IS your opinion on the slaughter of the people of Gaza. Do you approve of it?
Are you one of these Christian Sheep who does not mind being looked upon as lower than dirt
by those who practice the Talmud?

Cop yourself on mate.

And finally. How do we know that you are Irish?

The Popes, priest, presidents and ALL visitors of any religion to the Western Wall wear the skull cap out of respect!

You say the Talmud defines us like dirt - well they don't go round trying to convert the world with terror.

From the Quran for your info:

Fight those who believe not in Allah nor the Last Day, nor hold that forbidden which hath been forbidden by Allah and His Messenger (Mohammed), nor acknowledge the religion of Truth, (even if they are) of the People of the Book (christians and jews), until they pay the Jizya (tax to the muslim overlords in a majority islamic state) with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued. 9:29.

YOU really need to cop yourself on.

In response to 'A Freeman' and 'Jnr'. Lets get something straight, I do not hate any ethnic group.
The thing I hate is the torture and killing of innocent people regardless of religion and race.

I am still horrified by what happened to the Jews of Europe under Adolf Hitler, so don't play that old game we me.

But I do like the way you (Jnr) sidestepped the question about the death of civilians in Gaza. It goes towards further proving the ignorance and hate of Israel apologists .

The 'A Freeman' response is the typical 'Copy and Paste' line of retoric we have been hearing from Israel apologists and supporters since the creation of the state of Israel in 1948.

How sad and telling it is that they (the apologists) have not invented a new line of debate since then.

I suppose to them, like jokes, the old ones are the best.

the old canard that criticism of Israel is alleged to be antisemitic resurfaces. This is not what is being alleged at all. I suppose I have to spell it out in simple terms. It is a subtle point but hopefully not beyond your intellectual grasp that the selection of images showing a Jewish prayer activity in support of an allegation of political or military wrong-doing is antisemitic. This is because it directly associates religious rituals with alleged crimes. History shows over and over again that this is likely to lead to persecution of Jews for being Jews.

I have posted three more photos of Obama's visit to Israel. I think they should put to bed any notion
that previous image was a fake, or Photoshopped.

One of them was even used in the Philadelphia Jewish People.

' ...it directly associates religious rituals with alleged crimes..'.

Actually, avi, if you drop the ritual element, would you not acknowledge that the state of Israel is posited originally on the religious tract known as the bible(simply meaning 'book', so its claim of unique singularity or prototypicality is spurious)and its mythological claim to a special, racist, 'chosen' status for the Jewish tribe, itself(the tribe)being thus elevated above all 'inferior' law, created by rest of us mere mortals?

If so, is it not one more example of a collective criminal theft, like all colonial enterprises. The colonists themselves seem more Caucasian in appearance than the actually semitic Palestinian aboriginal inhabitants. But then, as African and Native American and Asians know, European colonisation was often spearheaded by soul-seeking bible wielders. And, equally, it was usually the vicious Old Testament that informed their racist morality of self-justification as they displaced, enslaved, butchered, raped and stole the land and other resources on a finder's keeper's set of ethics that took no account of the commonality of resources for human collective needs. It used to be called feudalism, now it masquerades as 'free' trade, one of our shibbolethic oxymorons of maintaining the ongoing enrichment of the same financial interests that funded European explorations from Columbus both back and forward in time. After all we mustn't regulate the golden goose that enriches us all, at the expense of the lesser untermenschen.

This sub-rational religious conviction is at the root of the Israeli inability to address the consequent set of problems impartially and rationally, and other than on a tribal and defensive level of assumed superiority by theistic 'chosen' status. A recipe for the bunker we see Israel cementing itself into behind its 'security' fence.
What led to the Jews being persecuted for being Jews is the same religious delusiuon of Rome that Christians of its denomination are 'the one true church' whose messiah was executed by the Jews as a people, whereas it was actually the Jerusalem temple under Caiaphas, the high priest, who resented the claims of the rabbi from the sticks apparently usurping his status as spokesman for Judaism.
Or have I got it wrong?

..his Zioniost dream back in the late nineteenth century most Jews considered him a lunatic. After WW ll they wanted nothing to do with Israel(most wanted to go to the US or UK)but anti-semitism and the colonial project directed them into Palestine(European ethnic cleansing continued by other means).

The Roman church promoted anti-semitism from its inception, projecting a communal guilt for deicide onto the Jews, and now the Palestinians are paying for centuries of European racism, and the again-cornered Jews are manipulated by the Zionist cartel that has them terrorised into thinking the Arab is their problem, rather than their own leaders and oil-hungry yanks and Europeans. A major problem is the real anti-semitism of many pro-Palestinians who have not taken enough trouble to read the background to their healthy revulsion to Zionist atrocities. Zionists are just pursuing the normal nationalist agenda in abnormal circumstances. Iraq et al proves that. The residual norm of European anti-semitism never sank too far beyond recall. Israelis know this, but rather than proclaim it they have diverted it onto Arabs and muslims, classic avoidance and evasion technique. Divert and decoy the the enemy fire.
