At N.U.I Galway,students yearn for destruction.One guy,Peter,believes we are a target!

"We are a target,"he told me yesterday in the bank queue,"because we are a Western Democracy."The sad thing is,Peter is actually a nice fella,and a smart one too,as he is studying science,which requires way more points than an Arts degree,which the bulk of leftist students study.

If I did not know Peter long enough,I'd have probably punched him.But not now?So why does a nice fellow like Peter believe our constitution to be silly?Why does he buy into this argument?

Does he,and other members of the petit bourgouis actually crave annihilation?Or do they have a secret death wish?Belgium,Iceland,Andorra,and a number of smaller countries are what may be described as Western democracies,yet are they ready to declare "We are Targets",with the semnse that verged on pride that was nearly evident with Peter.Being new and modern Ireland seems to be a roll call for duty,namely,war duty.Neutrality seems to be a thing of Dev and the past.It is funny how a great number of politicians decrying our neutrality are the sort of mettle that could not storm a phonebox.Ireland,stand up and be counted.IT IS TIME TO GO ON OUT THERE,PATROL,AND COME BACK TO YER MA WITH SOME DODGY DISEASE NO ONE CAN ACCOUNT FOR,SAVE TO CALL IT FEVER(of some sort).In fact,I like the idea of idiot jocks making Da proud,and coming back,not in a bodybag,but a strait jacket,and manic grin,ready to give Da a hug and then bite his face off,just for the fun of it.

Recently in the media we have seen the new members of NATOs Eastern half ambitously stand by Bush in his latest crusade,leaving Germany and France cold shouldered.Two former Imperialist powers want peace,smaller countries lust for war,and our own government seems to have negated the validity of our constitution.

Peter is actually a bit of a nerd,but a likable one.He takes part in student "assasination" contests,nerdy shit like that.He would be the darling of any mother,tall and handsome as he is.Yet he wants war."We are a target,we are a Western Democracy."

Humans.A disgusting race.The West facilitates a battle with the east,Democracy has already begun to implode.In a thousand years,we will,according to the prophecies of Wovoka,be returned to hunter gatherers,the white race having disappeared in a ball of fire.It will be the least we deserve.Including the descendents of my friend Peter.Our stupidity is a virus.

To all Science students: Seek the truth

I noticed Jeff mentioned that Peter was a science student. Well I think Peter with his
opinions and complacency is doing a great INJUSTICE to science.

Science is all about seeking the truth about nature and the natural world. It actually
grew out of philosophy which is where the Ph comes from in PhD. A true scientist should
and does always, question the facts or data. They as a matter of course would question
how any data is collected and what it represents. If the data does not fit the current
theory, then a new one is created and the old one dropped.

Well how does this relate to the politics in general and this war in particular? -because
if anyone systematically checked the so-called facts from our politicians and spin-doctors
in the media, they would realize it is full of holes, is unrepresentative and does not
relate to the reality it purports to represent. Further the theory that we are in a democracy
or that the war is somehow for democracy does in no way explain the data or facts and
does not carry any predictive value as any good theory should do, as to what is going to
happen next. Those who belive the 'democracy' theory would under their theory predict that
the world is just going to get better and better.

On the other hand, if you just scratch the surface even a little and collate the data and of
course cross-check it, and mold it into a self-consistent and logical framework, which is
what any good theory is, you will see that it explains an awful lot and it explains the
reactions of the spin-doctors and it predicts broadly the future.

That theory shows that we have re-entered robber-baron capitalism and it is on a course of
total domination using all the latest technology at hand. It shows that the richer are getting
richer and the rest of humanity is heading towards enslavement to the new rulers.
It also shows the environment is being destroyed and the potential carrying capacity of
the Earth is being severly reduced.

So I would say to Peter or anyone else, be a good scientist and ruthlessly seek the truth.
