![]() US Puppet Fianna Fail Regime is going to get roasted for their treachery Several hundred protesters have gathered outside the Dáil to protest at the Government's decision to continue allowing US military aircraft use Shannon Airport. The Dáil is holding a heated debate on a Government motion which, among other topics, contains a clause permitting US forces continued use of Irish airspace and facilities. The chairman of the Irish Anti-War Movement, Mr Richard Boyd Barrett, accused the Government of "complicity" in the US-led attack on Iraq and called on people across Ireland to join planned protests throughout the country this evening. He said he was "appalled" at the start of military action by US-led forces in Iraq. "Thousands of innocent civilians will die because of the US lust for oil," he told ireland.com. "It is a complete lie by the Government to say our neutrality is not being compromised by this political and moral support for the US. "It is nonsense for the Government to claim it is not participating in the war. It will have blood on its hands by allowing these facilities to the US military," he said. Major protests are planned outside the US embassy in Ballsbridge this evening. Thousands of people are expected to attend a rally in Dublin on Saturday, and there will also be anti-war marches in Cork, Derry, Belfast, Galway, Sligo and Waterford over the coming weekend. © 2003 ireland.com |

Blood money from the Shannon warport is being used by the Irish capitalist class to promote pro-war propaganda in NYC. The Smurfit-subsidized Niall O'Dowd of the Irish Voice attacks those who are anti-war as 'anti-American'. O'Dowd is a close friend of Gerry Adams.
Last week Gerry Adams was kissing ass in the U.S. (along with Bertie) and now he is suddenly all anti U.S use of Shannon again. Provo sympatisers have swallowed so much double standards BS from Adams over the last thirty years they are not even aware of it any more.
like shutting down Shannon or the many US companies here.
