We're a week away from the most painful Budget in history thanks largely to the eye-watering cost of lockdown. Yet Baroness Hallett says next time the Government must be ready to go harder and faster. This is insanity.

offsite link Taxpayers Are Charged for the BBC Whether They Like it or Not Sat Nov 22, 2025 11:00 | Charlotte Gill
It's bad enough that all UK TV users are forced to fund the BBC via a TV licence. But it's worse than that, says Charlotte Gill: millions of pounds of taxpayers' money are handed to the corporation via backdoor channels.

iraq

alot of people think that america was right to attack iraq to dippose of an evil dictator and regime to eliminate the threat of chemical and biological weapons.

alot of people think that america was right to attack iraq to dippose of an evil dictator and regime to eliminate the threat of chemical and biological weapons. the war is over change the channel.lets not forget that america and britain also possess these weapons of mass destruction and nuclear, should they also be attacked.after all among all the nations america is the only one that has ever deployed the nuclear bomb on another, they did it before, they might do it again.there current policy of pre emptive strikes against "maybe"threats is alarming and unjust. after the first gulf war america left saddam in power they could have replaced the regime but they didnt, saddam after all whose rise to power was aided by none other than america. against "soviet"iran.saddam the "evil dictator",saddam the "evil tyrant",saddam there "friend".evil regimes are only removed it seems when it suites them and when it suites them left alone and even supported.the current media spin and associated arguements seem to attempt to justify the war,how quickly people forget,it is like an election on t.v.most americans dont bother to vote, others are easily swayed by fancy advertisement and the rest end up as the insignificant minority.wake up america the reason your being attacked is because you have provoked it, the world is not a piece of maula to play with, peoples lives are at stake your lives as well "what comes around goes around".dick cheneys "energy report'proposes attacking iraq to elieviate americas energy problem."nothing is free in this world",and the high standard of living in the developed world is ussually at other peoples expense.they suffer you dont care cos its far away and nothing to do with you "snap out of that buzz"right now the bush regime is pumping iraqs oil out of the country, power is the ultimate goal, innonent people suffer but its tuff shit.they dont matter, the united nations dont matter, the world doesnt matter cos might is right.democracy seems to be just a front to hide the reality it is sickening.people can protest all they want, they dont matter, they no longer have power only the goverments who fuck them over.iraq was attacked without a trial without due process, does it not occur to you that if weapons inspectors cant find weapons intelligence cant find them than maybe thats because they dont exist.

the only solution for the problem (nato and the rest of the capitalists) is to reborn the red army. note that nato never beat communist arm forces.
