World Kindness Day may have passed you by. But it won't have passed by your children, whose school will have been sure to teach that climate action and open borders are essential elements of 'kindness', says Steven Tucker.

Read what happened when an Extinction Rebellion meeting was disrupted by a protester. Seems they can give it out but have no intention of putting up with it themselves.

First they were 'Asian' grooming gangs, then 'Pakistani'. But the most important thing to grasp is that almost all of them ? 87% of convictions ? are Muslim, says Mark Durie. This must not be covered up.

International call for solidarity.

AUGUST 29, 2004
GLOBAL DAY OF ACTION
THE WORLD SAYS NO TO THE BUSH AGENDA

In the last three years, George W. Bush has presided over a radical right-wing takeover of the U.S. government, the ramifications of which are being felt all over the world. He is waging two wars, which continue to kill thousands of innocent people, The Bush Administration is implementing a policy of permanent and unprovoked war that violates international law and imperils global security.

On every issue - from abandoning environmental regulations and international treaty obligations to obstructing hard-won workers' rights, civil rights and human rights - the Bush administration has pushed for unprecedented and destructive changes in U.S. foreign and domestic policy.
The Bush Administration has "unsigned" the International Criminal Court Treaty, discarded the Kyoto Protocol, and undermined virtually every important arms control treaty the U.S. (however reluctantly) has ever signed. The Bush Agenda sharply favors corporations and the wealthy, especially the Administration's own supporters, at the expense of the people of the world and our environment.

Meanwhile, the Bush Administration shamelessly uses the tragic attacks of September 11, 2001, to ratchet up fear and attempt to justify its aggressive and militaristic policies. In a blatant attempt to exploit the grief and fear brought on by September 11, the Republican Party pushed back its 2004 convention to August 30 through September 2, 2004, and is holding it in New York City, close to Ground Zero, in an effort to claim the memory of September 11th for Republicans alone.

AUGUST 29, 2004
IN NEW YORK CITY AND AROUND THE GLOBE
THE WORLD SAYS NO TO THE BUSH AGENDA

On February 15, 2003 millions of people from over 800 cities around the world stood united and determined to oppose the impending war on Iraq. Our message was "The World Says No to War." On Sunday, August 29, 2004 the people of the world, the second super-power, will gather once again in New York and in cities around the world to reject the Bush administration's policies of racism, militarism and corporate greed. On August 29, 2004 we will gather to promote peace, justice and a new way forward for all the world's people.

As we prepare to march In New York City, the site of the Republican National Convention, we appeal to our allies around the world to join us by organizing solidarity protests in cities and towns around the world. THE WORLD SAYS NO TO THE BUSH AGENDA.

Initiated by United for Peace and Justice, a U.S. anti-war coalition with more than 800 member groups, this day of action was endorsed by the World Social Forum held in Mumbai in January 2004. If your organization or coalition has not already done so, please consider doing both of the following:
