![]() As an American, I am completely fed up with the "war on terror" going on in Iraq and the constant screw-ups along made along the way. Yesterday, I read that Ayad Allawi, Iraq's former interim learder has consented that Iraq is involved in a Civil War, yet the US Idiot cannot seem to figure that out. Now today, I brouse through The Guardian, and discover a story relating tales of terror detainees barred from trials in the US courts, and awaiting judgement on their right to a trial. With the number of Iraqi killings happening daily, the car bombs...etc...it amazes me that some people can still support having troops in Iraq. Yes, the country has major problems, and there are several fractions there that do not seem to be able to live together in peace. However, I do not see how sending US troops has helped the situation. If anything, we've made it worse by becoming yet another group with guns and a desire to put someone in power. We are wasting valuble resources, and endangering the lives of our boys by being in a country where we do not belong. This "war on terror" is quickly becoming a modern Vietnam "police action". |
