Anti-war campaigners are understood to be behind the daubing of slogans on the Limerick constituency office of junior Justice Minister Willie O'Dea. The words 'No Bush, No War' were painted in blue on the outside of the building in the early hours of today. The Limerick-Clare based Mid-West Alliance Against Militarism and Aggression (MAMA) have followed the Cork Anti-War Campaign lead and disaffiliated from the now completely misnamed 'Irish Anti-War Movement' (IAWM). Reasons are much the same as those expressed by Cork and Fairview. Tim Hourigan (Limerick) had already resigned from the IAWM steering committee. read full story / add a comment

The Limerick 95fm website reports that Eamonn Murphy tragically died yesterday: " It`s believed Eamonn Murphy from O` Malley Park died after falling while crossing a railway line. It`s believed the anti-war protestor suffered head injuries. His removal takes place tonight at half past seven from Thompson`s Funeral Home. Mr Murphy will be buried tomorrow in Mount St. Oliver Cemetery after half past ten requiem mass in St. Munchin`s Church." read full story / add a comment
