The appeal hearing at the High Court which will decide Julian Assange’s immediate fate has been set for Wednesday 27th and Thursday 28th October. This is a watershed moment in the most important press freedom case of the 21st century. Noam Chomsky the long time hero of the Left, defender of democracy, campaigner for human rights has finally outed himself as part of the controlled opposition. Chomsky has been around for years and wrote the famous Manufacturing Consent about how the media controls the public narrative. Yet as the decades past, it became apparent some subjects were taboo and in particular any sort of fishy incident like 9/11 he would row in with the narrative. This was a way of guiding his followers of which there are many along certain carefully well defined paths and off other ones.
