Supreme Court Decides to Hear Argentine Objection to Predatory Hedge Funds Targeting Argentine Assets Outside of United States
The Supreme Court will review a lower court's order for banks to give information on Argentine assets, including those assets held outside of US jurisdiction, to a group of hedge funds seeking to collect from Argentina's 2001 default. Additionally, the High Court will review if it is legal for these predatory hedge funds to target assets for collection outside of a US jurisdiction.

We stated clearly that the mobilisation of the masses is a task which cannot be bypassed and that key to that task is the presence of Republicanism within and alongside day to day struggles of workers, campaigning groups and communities.

Recently returned from a stint in Palestine, the place that most struck me was the city of Hebron. Secret deal between City Council and Greyhound Recycling dirty politics
Local election candidate for Pembroke South Dock Wayne Flanagan Tobin has said the secrecy of a deal struck between Dublin City Council and Greyhound recycling demonstrates the need to clean up local government. This is given the amount of dishonesty in local government from planning zonings and’ brown envelope politics’ facilitated by unelected officials hell bent on keeping the public misinformed. This is why as a young person I am standing in the election to clean up local government and make it more transparent. read full story / add a comment
