Gluaiseacht for Global Justice, the activist network that supports Climate Camp and other environmental and social justice campaigns in Ireland is holding a weekend of workshops and skill sharing for people who are interested in geting active for environmental and social justice. There will be a wide range of talks and workshops covering issues about carbon trading, media skills and direct action, water tax and much more.

The weekend aims to provide a space for creating/building/sustaining the processes that lead to movement building.

The IPSC in Dublin will be staging a solidarity demonstration with the anti-Veolia motion being put before Dublin City Council that evening. The demo will start at 6pm outside City Hall, Dame Street, Dublin 2 on the evening of Monday 12th April. Democracy Now reports: Massacre Caught on Tape: US Military Confirms Authenticity of Their Own Chilling Video Showing Killing of Journalists.

The US military has confirmed the authenticity of newly released video showing US forces indiscriminately firing on Iraqi civilians. On Monday, the website WikiLeaks.org posted footage taken from a US military helicopter in July 2007 as it killed twelve people and wounded two children. Although we could not include everyone due to the extremely high volume of submissions, we will keep all of you in the IMOCA database of artists for future possible shows. So the re-launch and opening went very well last night. In all we estimate upwards of 75 people came along. There were 40+ at Dave Douglass's book launch while others came earlier to browse, look around the new Warzone and Just Books premises and lend their support. Thanks goes out to all the supporters of Just Books and collective members past and present with a special word of thanks to Dave Douglass for his informative and important talk. The collective has group to a membership of 15 in recent weeks and we look forward to keeping the shop open from 12.00pm to 5.30pm Monday to Saturday and hosting more events in future. read full story / add a comment

Palestinian Prisoners Day 2010 Demo - "Release ALL Palestinian Political Prisoners Now!"

On Saturday April 17th at 2pm the Ireland Palestine Solidarity Campaign (IPSC) and the socialist-republican political party éirígí will mark Palestinian Prisoners Day with a joint demonstration outside the Israeli Embassy in Dublin (122 Pembroke Road, Dublin 4).
